Groups are essential for classifying and managing service units, applications, and APIs. Prior to creating or invoking APIs, it is necessary to establish groups to organize these components. This topic outlines the steps to create groups for service units, applications, and APIs.

Prerequisites

A service project has been created. To create one, refer to Create service project or .

Limits

  • Project administrators and developers are authorized to create service unit groups.

  • Project administrators, application users, and operations and maintenance personnel are authorized to create application groups.

Create group

  1. Navigate to the Dataphin home page, and from the top menu bar, select Service > Management.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Project Management, select the desired service project, and click the group management Actionsimage icon in the corresponding column.

  3. In the Group Management dialog box, click the Service Unit tab, then click the Add Group button. Enter a name in the input box, limited to 64 characters, and click OK. Creating applications and APIs follows the same procedure as for service units.
