After you log on to the Database Gateway console, the Gateway List page appears. The State column displays the state of each database gateway.
The following table lists the possible states of a database gateway.
| Gateway state | Description |
|---|---|
| Gateway not started | Database Gateway Agent has not been downloaded or the database gateway has not been started. |
| Running | The database gateway has been started and is running properly. |
| Abnormal | The database gateway has encountered an exception. |
| Stopped | The database gateway has been stopped.
Note If the database gateway is stopped, you can manually restart the database gateway
process locally.
