Database Autonomy Service (DAS) provides the performance trend feature. This topic describes the performance metrics that are supported by this feature and how to view these performance metrics.

Background information

The performance trend feature supports metrics, such as transactions per second (TPS), queries per second (QPS), and throughput. You can view performance trends in multiple ways. For example, you can view the trends in specified ranges, compare performance trends, and view custom performance trend charts.

Procedure

You can view the performance trend in a specified time range.

  1. Log on to the DAS console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instance Monitoring.
  3. Find the instance that you want to view, click Performance in the Actions column, and then click Performance Trend.
Note You can specify a time range and select metrics from the More Metrics drop-down list based on your business requirements. Then, click Search.
  4. Click the Performance Trend Comparison tab. Specify two time ranges and click Search.
Note Custom performance trend charts are supported. You can customize multiple performance monitoring dashboards and specify multiple performance metrics that you want to display in the same chart. This feature can help you troubleshoot and analyze performance issues.
  5. Click the Custom Chart tab.
Note The first time you use this feature, you must create a monitoring dashboard. For more information, see Monitoring dashboards. You can specify a time range based on your requirements and click Search to view custom charts.
