Database Autonomy Service (DAS) allows you to use the event center feature to view the detailed exception events, optimization events, and scaling events of a database instance and the statistical information about the events. For example, you can view the events in planning, events in execution, and executed events.

Prerequisites

  • The database instance is connected to DAS. For information about how to connect database instances to DAS, see Connect an Alibaba Cloud database instance to DAS.
  • A database instance of one of the following types is connected to DAS:
    • RDS MySQL
    • RDS PostgreSQL
    • ApsaraDB for Redis instance
    • PolarDB for MySQL Cluster Edition instance

View events and suggestions

  1. Log on to the DAS console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Event Center.
  3. On the Event Center page, click the Events and Suggestions tab to view the statistics and trend charts of events in a specified time range.

    Note When you select a time range, the end time must be later than the start time, and the interval between the start time and the end time cannot exceed seven days.
    • On the Exceptions tab, you can view the statistics of exceptions.
    • On the Optimization Suggestions tab, you can view the statistics of optimization events.
    • On the Top Instances tab, you can view the statistics of database instances sorted by the number of events.

    You can filter events by Event Level, Event Name, or Event Type.

    Click the ID of a database instance or click Details in the Actions column corresponding to the database instance to go to the autonomy center of the database instance and view the event details.

View events in planning or in execution

  1. Log on to the DAS console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Event Center.
  3. On the Event Center page, click the Events in Plan /Execution tab to view the events in planning and events in execution.

    You can filter events by Event Level to find the event that you want to manage.

    Click the ID of a database instance or click Details in the Actions column corresponding to the database instance to go to the autonomy center of the database instance and view the event details.

View executed events

  1. Log on to the DAS console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Event Center.
  3. On the Event Center page, click the Executed Events tab to view the execution results of events within a specified time range.
    Note When you select a time range, the end time must be later than the start time, and the interval between the start time and the end time cannot exceed seven days.

    You can filter events by Event Level to find the event that you want to manage.

    Click the ID of a database instance or click Details in the Actions column corresponding to the database instance to go to the autonomy center of the database instance and view the event details.
