Database Autonomy Service:Connect an Alibaba Cloud database instance to DAS

This topic describes how to connect an Alibaba Cloud database instance to Database Autonomy Service (DAS).

Prerequisites

  • The database instance that you want to manage is of one of the following types:

    • ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL, PolarDB for MySQL, and ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL

    • ApsaraDB RDS for PostgreSQL and PolarDB for PostgreSQL

    • ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server and ApsaraDB MyBase for SQL Server

    • ApsaraDB for Redis

    • PolarDB for PostgreSQL(Compatible with Oracle)

    • PolarDB-X 2.0

    • ApsaraDB for MongoDB

  • The database instance belongs to the Alibaba Cloud account that you use to activate DAS.

Procedure

Note

Alibaba Cloud database instances are automatically connected to DAS after the instances are created. If an Alibaba Cloud database instance fails to be automatically connected to DAS after the database instance is created, you can manually connect the database instance to DAS.

  1. Log on to the DAS console.

  2. In the Recommended Features section of the Overview page, click Access Instance.

  3. On the page that appears, click Alibaba Cloud Database.

  4. Configure the parameters that are described in the following table to specify the database instance that you want to connect to DAS, and then click Access instance.

    Parameter

    Description

    Select Engine:

    The type of the database instance.

    Access Status:

    The state of the database instance.

    Region

    The region in which the database instance resides.

    Instance ID/Name

    The ID of the database instance.

  5. On the page that appears, click Complete if you do not want to connect more database instances to DAS. If you want to connect more database instances to DAS, click Add More.
