This topic describes how to use the automatic parameter tuning feature of Database Autonomy Service (DAS). This feature uses machine learning algorithms to intelligently recommend optimum values for parameters based on the workload and specifications of a database instance.

An ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL database instance is connected to DAS.

  1. Log on to the DAS console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Parameter Autotune.
  3. On the Task Center page, click Create Task in the upper-right corner.
  4. In the Create Task dialog box, select a business type and a database instance and click OK.
Note Wait until the task is completed. On the Task Center page, find the task and click Details in the Actions column. You can view the details of the task, which include the results of automatic parameter tuning and business benefits.
