Cloud Parallel File Storage:Overdue payments

Last Updated:Mar 28, 2024

This topic describes the impacts of overdue payments for Cloud Parallel File Storage (CPFS) file systems and how to view overdue payments.

Impacts of overdue payments

Payment status

Resource status

Nearly due

The system checks whether your account balance is sufficient to pay the relevant fees in the next three billing cycles based on the average payable amount during the last 7 hours. If you do not have a sufficient balance in your Alibaba Cloud account, the system notifies you by text message or email.

Important

You are notified if your service is about to be suspended due to an overdue payment. To ensure service continuity, renew your file systems at the earliest opportunity.

Overdue

  • If your Alibaba Cloud account has an overdue payment, all pay-as-you-go file systems within your account are affected.

  • Your file systems are not suspended. During the grace period, the system sends a text message to you every day.

  • If your Alibaba Cloud account has an overdue payment, the CPFS file systems within your Alibaba Cloud account cannot be released.

  • If you settle the overdue payments within seven days after your CPFS file systems are suspended, your CPFS file systems are automatically started.

  • If the overdraft threshold is exceeded or the grace period ends, Alibaba Cloud suspends your CPFS file systems. However, you are still charged for the storage space. In this case, the overdue amount continues to increase.

If you do not settle overdue payments within seven days after your CPFS file systems are suspended, Alibaba Cloud releases your CPFS file systems. Your data stored in the CPFS file systems is deleted and cannot be restored.

Important

You are still charged before your data is deleted. If you no longer use CPFS file systems, we recommend that you delete all data from your CPFS file systems at the earliest opportunity.
