This topic describes the end-to-end process of creating and using a General-purpose Cloud Parallel File Storage (CPFS) file system to help you get started.
Workflow
Instructions
The workflow for General-purpose CPFS is as follows:
Activate the CPFS service.
When you log on to the CPFS console for the first time, follow the on-screen prompts to activate the CPFS service.
Add a mount target.
If you access the file system over the POSIX protocol, see Manage the POSIX mount target of a CPFS file system.
If you access the file system over the NFSv3 protocol, see Protocol service.
Mount and access the file system.
To mount a file system on an ECS instance, see Mount a CPFS file system on an ECS instance.
To mount a file system in a container, see Mount a CPFS file system by using a container.

Billing methods
General-purpose CPFS uses the pay-as-you-go billing method by default. Resource plans are also supported. The subscription billing method is unavailable for new purchases. However, you can still renew and scale out existing subscription file systems. For more information, see Billing overview.
References
You can manage General-purpose CPFS using APIs and software development kits (SDKs). For more information, see Integration overview.
