Cloud Parallel File Storage:Enable the log analysis feature

Last Updated:Jul 03, 2025

This topic describes how to enable the log analysis feature in the File Storage NAS (NAS) console and use the feature to collect logs to Simple Log Service (SLS).

Prerequisites

  • A Cloud Parallel File Storage (CPFS) for Lingjun file system is created. For more information, see Create a file system.

  • CPFS for Lingjun is authorized to assume the AliyunNASLogArchiveRole Resource Access Management (RAM) role to access SLS.

You can go to the Cloud Resource Access Authorization page and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the authorization. The first time you enable the log analysis feature, you must complete the authorization by using your Alibaba Cloud account.

    Warning

Do not revoke permissions from the AliyunNASLogArchiveRole role or delete the role. Otherwise, logs cannot be sent to SLS.

Procedure

Important

Before you can use a RAM user to enable the log analysis feature, you must grant the required permissions to the RAM user. For more information, see the "RAM user authorization" section of the Common operations on logs of Alibaba Cloud services topic.

  1. Log on to the NAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Monitoring Audit > Log Analysis.

  3. On the Log Analysis page, click the CPFS for Lingjun tab, and then click Create Log Dump.

  4. In the Create Log Dump dialog box, configure the File System Type and File System ID/Name parameters, and then click OK.

What to do next

After CPFS for Lingjun access logs are sent to SLS, you can query, analyze, download, deliver, and transform the access logs. You can also create alert rules for the access logs. For more information, see Common operations on logs of Alibaba Cloud services.
