Cloud Parallel File Storage:FAQ about billing

Last Updated:Nov 06, 2025

This topic provides answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the billing of Cloud Parallel File Storage (CPFS).

How do I stop being charged for CPFS?

To prevent service interruptions, you cannot directly disable the CPFS service. However, you can use one of the following methods to stop the service or stop being billed for it.

  • Pay-as-you-go/Subscription

For pay-as-you-go or subscription CPFS file systems, if you no longer want to use the CPFS service, ensure that your data is migrated or no longer in use. Then, unmount the directory from the compute node. Log on to the File Storage console and delete the file system from the file system list. After you delete the file system, you will not be charged in the next billing cycle. For more information about how to delete a file system, see Delete a file system.

  • Resource plans

If you use a resource plan to pay for storage capacity and no longer need the plan, you can unsubscribe from the resource plan instance according to the unsubscription rules. For more information, see Unsubscribe from a CPFS resource plan instance.

How am I charged for the storage usage of a CPFS file system?

You are charged based on the capacity that you configure when you create the file system. For more information, see CPFS billing overview.

How do I check whether I have overdue payments?

Overdue payments affect your use of CPFS. You can check for overdue payments on the Overview page of the Expenses and Costs console. If you have an overdue payment, add funds to your account immediately.
