Compute Nest:Configure an estimated deployment duration and a deployment timeout period

Last Updated:Jun 16, 2025

This topic describes how to configure an estimated deployment duration and a deployment timeout period when you create a private service as a service provider.

Configure an estimated deployment duration

The deployment duration is the time required to complete the deployment of a service instance. To properly configure an estimated deployment duration for a service, you can deploy a service instance multiple times for testing and select a proper duration value based on the test results. For a service instance requires a single deployment process, view its detailed instance information and calculate its deployment duration based on the following formula: Deployment duration of a service instance = Last modification time of the service instance - Creation time of the service instance.2024-04-11_14-25-50.png

Configure a deployment timeout period

The deployment timeout period indicates the time allowed to elapse after the actual deployment duration of a service instance exceeds the specified value. A service instance fails to be deployed if the deployment times out. You configure a deployment timeout period for a service based on the service features. We recommend that you configure the deployment timeout period to 1.5 to 2 times the specified deployment duration.
