As a service provider, you can set an estimated deployment duration and a deployment timeout period when you create a private service.
Estimated deployment duration
Deployment duration is the time required for a service to deploy. To set an accurate estimated deployment duration, we recommend deploying the service multiple times in a test environment to determine a reasonable value. For a successfully created service instance, you can also determine the exact deployment duration by viewing its details and subtracting the creation time from the last modification time.
Deployment timeout period
The timeout period specifies the maximum duration for a service instance deployment. If the deployment process takes longer than this period, the deployment is marked as failed. When setting the deployment timeout period, service providers can estimate a timeout period based on the features of their service. The recommended deployment timeout period is 1.5 to 2 times the estimated deployment duration.
The default deployment timeout period is 7200 seconds.
