CloudMonitor:Manage notification templates

You can create custom notification templates for system events and threshold-triggered events based on your business requirements. You can send alert notifications to alert contacts based on the formats of Email, Lark, WeCom, and Slack. You can also set and view the raw alert data in JSON format.

Create a notification template

This topic describes how to create a notification template by using the default title and notification information of an email template as an example.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Event Center > Notify Template.

  3. On the Notification Template page, click the Mail tab and then click Create notification template.

  4. In the Create notification template panel, enter a template name. Retain the default settings of the example template and custom information content.

    By default, CloudMonitor displays the email template and the default title and the notification information in both Chinese and English for the email template. You can click Insert Variable to customize the email title and notification information.

    Channel type

    The channel type of the notification template. Valid values:

    • Mail

    • Flying book

    • Enterprise WeChat

    • SLACK

    • Data

    Template name

    The name of the notification template.

    Description

    The description of the notification template.

    Using Example Templates

    CloudMonitor provides a variety of notification template examples, such as the text message template, phone call template, DingTalk template, email template, Lark template, WeCom template, Slack template, and data template.

    The corresponding template is automatically displayed based on the value that you select for Channel type. For example, if you select Mail for Channel type, Email Template is displayed for this parameter.

    Custom Information Content

    The custom information content specified by using the Markdown syntax.

    The default content of Chinese notification information and English Notification Information is automatically generated based on the value you select for Channel type. You can click Insert Variable to customize the information content.

    Note

    If you select Mail, Flying book, Enterprise WeChat, or SLACK for Channel type, the default title content is displayed in Title. You can click Insert Variable to specify the custom information title.

  5. In the upper-left corner of the blank area in the right pane of the Create notification template panel, click the image.png icon.

    CloudMonitor displays Simulated system Event Data by default. You can view the notification content in email format.

  6. Test the custom notification template.

    1. In the upper-right corner of the blank area in the right pane of the Create notification template panel, click the image.png icon.

    2. Select an alert contact and click OK.

      When the system prompts The transmission was successful, please check it carefully, the email address of the alert contact receives the test email of the custom notification template shown in the preceding figure.

  7. Click OK.

Modify a notification template

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Event Center > Notify Template.

  3. On the Notification Template page, click a channel type tab of the notification template that you want to modify, and click Edit in the Operation column.

  4. In the Modify notification template panel, configure the parameters.

  5. Click OK.

Delete a notification template

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Event Center > Notify Template.

  3. On the Notification Template page, click the channel type tab of the notification template that you want to delete, and click Delete in the Operation column.

  4. In the Delete prompt message, click OK.
