Cloud Monitor:Manage scheduled detection tasks

After you create a site monitoring job, you can view its details and perform operations such as modifying, deleting, disabling, and enabling it.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor 2.0 console, and select a workspace. In the left navigation pane, choose Application Center > Synthetics Insights.

  2. In the top navigation bar of Synthetics Insights, select Probe List.

  3. You can manage scheduled detection tasks in the Timed Detection Tasks list.

View a detection task

You can view the task details, monitoring analysis, and alert rules. This helps you promptly identify abnormal site data and resolve faults.

  1. On the Timed Detection Tasks page, you can view the total number of event-triggered tasks, the number of alerts in the last 24 hours, and the number of detections from the previous day.

  2. Click the Task Name/ID of the target site monitoring job.

    You can view the Overview and Monitoring Analysis for the site monitoring job.

    • On the Overview page, you can view the Alert History, Analysis Reports, and detection results for the task.

    • On the Monitoring Analysis page, you can view the Scatter Chart Analysis, Geographical Analysis, Carrier Analysis, and Detection Error Analysis for the task.

Modify a detection task

If an existing site monitoring job does not meet your monitoring needs, you can modify its information, detection points, alert rules, and alert contact groups.

  1. In the Actions column of the target site monitoring job, click Edit.

  2. On the Modify Task page, modify the information for the site monitoring job.

  3. Click Modify.

Delete monitoring jobs

If you no longer need a site monitoring job, you can delete it. When you delete a site monitoring job, its associated alert rules are also deleted.

  1. Delete one or more site monitoring jobs.

    • To delete a single job:

      1. On the TProbe List tab, find the target site monitoring job and click Delete in the Actions column.

      2. Click OK.

    • To delete multiple jobs in a batch:

      1. On the Probe List tab, select the check boxes next to the target site monitoring jobs, and then click Delete in the lower-left corner.

      2. Click OK.

  2. Confirm that the site monitoring job has been deleted. The target site monitoring job is no longer in the list.

Disable site monitoring jobs

You can disable a site monitoring job only when its status is Running. After a job is disabled, its detections are paused.

  1. Disable one or more site monitoring jobs.

    • To disable a single job:

      1. On the Probe List tab, find the target site monitoring job and click Stop in the Actions column.

      2. In the Confirm Stop dialog box, click OK.

    • To disable multiple jobs in a batch:

      1. On the Probe List tab, select the check boxes next to the target site monitoring jobs, and then click Stop in the lower-left corner.

      2. In the Confirm Stop dialog box, click OK.

  2. Check the status of the site monitoring job. The Status of the target site monitoring job changes to Stopped.

Enable site monitoring jobs

You can enable a site monitoring job only when its status is Stopped. After a job is enabled, its detections resume.

  1. Enable one or more site monitoring jobs.

    • To enable a single job:

      1. On the Probe List tab, find the target site monitoring job and click Enable in the Actions column.

      2. Click OK.

    • To enable multiple jobs in a batch:

      1. On the Probe List tab, select the check boxes next to the target site monitoring jobs, and then click Enable in the lower-left corner.

      2. Click OK.

  2. Check the status of the site monitoring job. The Status of the target site monitoring job changes to Running.
