This topic describes how to create a route learning policy for a network instance connection. After route learning is enabled between a network instance connection and a route table of an Enterprise Edition transit router, the route table of the Enterprise Edition transit router can automatically learn routes from the network instance.

Prerequisites

An Enterprise Edition transit router is used. For more information about how to check the edition of a transit router, see View the edition of a transit router.

Create a route learning policy

  1. Log on to the CEN console.
  2. On the Instances page, click the ID of the CEN instance that you want to manage.
  3. Navigate to the Basic Settings > Transit Router tab and click the ID of the transit router that you want to manage.
  4. On the details page of the transit router, click the Route Table tab.
  5. In the left-side section, click the ID of the route table that you want to manage. On the details page of the route table, click the Route Propagation tab.
  6. On the Route Propagation tab, click Enable Route Propagation. In the Enable Route Propagation dialog box, set the following parameters and click OK.

    AttachmentSelect the network instance connection for which you want to enable route learning.

    After the route learning policy is created, the route table can automatically learn routes from the network instance.

Delete a route learning policy

  1. Log on to the CEN console.
  2. On the Instances page, click the ID of the CEN instance that you want to manage.
  3. Navigate to the Basic Settings > Transit Router tab and click the ID of the transit router that you want to manage.
  4. On the details page of the transit router, click the Route Table tab.
  5. In the left-side section, click the ID of the route table that you want to manage. On the details page of the route table, click the Route Propagation tab.
  6. On the Route Propagation tab, find the network instance connection that you want to manage and click Delete in the Actions column.
  7. In the Disable Route Propagation message, confirm the information and click OK.
