Checks whether the resources added to the default server group of each Server Load Balancer (SLB) instance are distributed across multiple zones. If so, the evaluation result is Compliant.

Scenarios

Adding cross-zone resources to the default server group of each SLB instance can improve the disaster recovery capability of the system and reduce the risk of business interruption.

Risk level

Default risk level: medium.

When you apply this rule, you can change the risk level based on your business requirements.

Compliance evaluation logic

  • If the resources added to the default server group of each SLB instance are distributed across multiple zones, the evaluation result is Compliant.

  • If the resources added to the default server group of an SLB instance are distributed in one zone, the evaluation result is Non-compliant.

  • If no resources are added to the default server group of an SLB instance, the evaluation result is Not Applicable.
