Last Updated:Jun 23, 2026

Checks whether an Application Load Balancer (ALB) instance is deployed across multiple zones.

Scenarios

Multi-zone ALB instances provide disaster recovery across zones, preventing service interruptions when the primary zone fails or becomes unavailable.

Risk level

Default risk level: High.

You can change the risk level of this rule.

Detection logic

  • An ALB instance is compliant if it is a multi-zone instance.

  • An ALB instance is non-compliant if it is a single-zone instance. To resolve this issue, see Remediation.
