Cloud Box:Purchase CloudBox resources

Procedure

1. Navigate to the Resource Directory tab on the Cloud Boxes page in the ECS console.

   1. Log on to the ECS console.

   2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances & Images > CloudBox.

   3. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

   4. Click the Resource Directory tab.

2. Find the stock keeping unit (SKU) type that you want to purchase for the cloud box, specify the quantity, and then click Associate Cloud Box.

   Note

   A cloud box must contain at least one computing SKU. You can purchase multiple computing SKUs of different types and quantities based on your business requirements. For more information, see Computing resources.

   

3. In the dialog box that appears, select the cloud box that you want to associate with the resources.

   • If one or more cloud boxes already exist, select the target cloud box from the drop-down list and click OK.

   • If no cloud box is available, click Create Cloud Box. In the dialog box that appears, configure the following parameters and click OK.

     Parameter	Description
     Name	Enter a custom name for the CloudBox. This helps you distinguish between multiple CloudBoxes.
     Description	The description of the CloudBox. This parameter is optional.
     Deployment Point	Select an existing deployment point.
     CloudBox Zone Identity	This configuration is used to generate the public cloud zone name. Each CloudBox corresponds to one zone.

   Note

   The type of order generated depends on the current state of the selected cloud box: - If the selected cloud box does not yet have computing resources, the system generates a purchase order. - If the selected cloud box already has computing resources, the system generates a scaling order.

4. Configure additional resources such as storage and network resources, review the resource configuration for the cloud box, and then pay for the order.

   Configuration		Description
   Compute		The computing SKU for the cloud box. You can review the computing SKU that you specified earlier, and you can also add more computing SKUs.
   Storage	EBS	The Elastic Block Storage (EBS) capacity for the cloud box. For more information, see EBS resources.
   	OSS	The Object Storage Service (OSS) capacity for the cloud box. For more information, see OSS resources.
   Value-added Service Plans	SLA Service Plan	The value-added service plan based on a service level agreement (SLA). Select an SLA service plan based on your business requirements. By default, computing resources in a cloud box are not covered by an SLA. The following plans are available: OR-738C0885A1: provides SLA guarantees for the ecs.g6, ecs.c6, and ecs.r6 instance families. OR-8067C6E180: provides SLA guarantees for the ecs.gn6i-c24g1 instance family.
   	Local Express Connect Circuit Plan	The local Express Connect circuit plan for the cloud box. Select a plan based on your business requirements. By default, the bandwidth between the cloud box and the local device is 20 Gbit/s. You can increase the bandwidth to 60 Gbit/s by purchasing a bandwidth plan.
   	Compute Expansion Plan	The scaling plan for expanding the computing capacity of the cloud box. Select a plan based on your business requirements. A scaling plan allows you to upgrade an existing computing SKU and increase the computing resources deployed in your rack.
   Duration		The subscription duration for the cloud box. Valid values: 3Years and 5Years.
   Payment Option		The payment type for the cloud box. Valid values: All Upfront and Half Upfront.

5. Read and select the terms of service, and then click Confirm Order.

   After you confirm the order, a configuration bill is generated. You can click the CloudBox ID to go to the CloudBox details page. On the Resource Configuration Bill tab, you can view the bill information.

   Important

   Before the resources on the configuration bill are delivered, you must click Pay in the Actions column and pay the fees based on your selected billing method.
