Chat App Message Service:Send messages

Last Updated:Apr 23, 2026

Learn how to send compliant, template-based bulk messages to Telegram users, groups, and channels from the Chat App console.

Prerequisites

  • You have created a Telegram template. For instructions, see Template design.

  • The end user has sent a message to the bot.

    • You can send messages to an individual Telegram user only after they first send a message to your bot.

    • After an end user sends their first message to the bot, Telegram generates a unique Chat ID for them. Your bot can then use this Chat ID to send messages to that user at any time.

  • The bot can send messages to a group or channel.

    • Add your bot to the group or channel and grant it the required permissions.

    • The bot can then send messages to that group or channel at any time.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, click Channel Management.

  3. Click the Channel ID of the target Telegram channel. The Message Sending page opens.

  4. On the right side of the page, configure the sending parameters as shown in the following table.

    Language

Selecting a language filters the list of available templates.

Click Select template and choose a message template from the list.

    Send Account

    Select a connected Telegram bot.

    Send Type

    • Send now: Sends the message as soon as you click Send.

    Import Method

Choose one of the following methods to provide the recipient Chat IDs.

    Note

In Telegram, you cannot send messages to end users by using their phone numbers. You must use their Chat IDs.

    1. Upload Excel File: Suitable for sending messages in bulk. You can upload an Excel file containing the recipient Chat IDs.

      1. Click Download Template and enter the recipient Chat IDs in the Phone column.

      2. Click Upload File to upload the completed file.

      3. Note
        1. The Download Template button is disabled until you select a message template.

        2. If your message template contains variables, you must use the Upload Excel File method to import recipient Chat IDs. Do not modify the column headers in the template file; otherwise, the system might not recognize the variables.

    2. Import Phone Number Group: Suitable for sending a small number of messages. Select this option, then click Add Phone Number to manually enter recipient Chat IDs.

    3. Select Group/Channel: Suitable for sending messages to groups or channels. You must first identify the target group or channel in group/channel management.

  5. After you configure the settings, click Send.

After the message is sent, you can view its details on the Message List page. For more information, see Message records.
