This topic introduces Email channels and highlights the advantages of using them in conjunction with Chat App Message Service.
What are Email channels?
Based on Alibaba Cloud Direct Mail, Email channels enable enterprises to send both triggered and batch emails for use cases such as website registration, password reset, order notifications, system alerts, and promotional campaigns.
After creating an Email channel in Chat App Message Service, you need to bind a sender address to it. Please activate Direct Mail and create a sender address in the Direct Mail console in advance.
Sender addresses of the Batch Emails type can only be used with marketing templates.
Sender addresses of the Triggered Emails type can be used with utility and authentication templates.
Email channels currently do not support sending emails through the Chat App Message Service console. Instead, you can use the Send an Email component in Chat Flow to send emails.
