This topic describes what a coupon code template is and how to create one.
What is a coupon code template?
A coupon code template is a marketing template that can display a copy button. Users can click the copy button to copy the coupon code.
When you create a coupon code template, you must select Marketing for the Category parameter.
Limits
Coupon code templates are not supported by WhatsApp Web.
A coupon code can be up to 15 characters in length.
A coupon code template can contain only one copy button and the button text cannot be customized.
Create a template in the console
Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Channel Management. Select a WhatsApp channel by clicking the channel ID or Manage in the Actions column.
Click Template Design, then click Add.
In the pop-up dialog box, set Template Name and select Marketing as the category. Specify whether to Allow Category Modification, and select a Language. Then, click OK.
On the template editing page, enter message content, then click Add Coupon Code Button icon.
In the Setting panel, configure the button setting.
Click Save to save the template and click Submit for review.
