This topic describes the operations involved in managing users in audience management. Audience management, also known as user group management, involves identifying, classifying, analyzing, and managing target users through systematic methods to enhance service and marketing efforts, improve user experience and satisfaction, and achieve business objectives.
Prerequisites
Alibaba Cloud account registration and enterprise authentication have been completed.
Chat App Message Service has been activated.
Modify users
You can click Edit Contact, and select the operations to add, delete, or remove users as needed in the dialog box that appears.
In the left-side navigation pane of the , choose . On the Contact Management tab, click Edit Contact.

In the dialog box that appears, specify Operation Type and other parameters. For information about the parameters, see the following table. Then, click OK.

Batch Upload
Click Download Template and enter user information in the format specified by the template.
Click Select File to upload users.
Upload
Select the country or region to which the phone number of the user belongs.
Enter the phone number of the user, for example, 1301111****.
Enter the user name.
Duplicated Settings
Overwrite Contact: If the phone number already exists, the existing user information will be overwritten and replaced with the new user information.
Ignore Contact: If the phone number already exists, the adding will be ignored, and the original user information will remain unchanged.
Associate Group
Select one or more user groups from the dropdown list and associate them with the users being uploaded.
NoteA user must be associated with at least one group. If a user group contains information about a removed user, the information will be removed from that group.
View and download user information
In the left-side navigation pane of the , choose . On the Contact Management tab, you can view user information or click the Download icon to download user information.
Associate a group with a user
In the left-side navigation pane of the , choose . On the Contact Management tab, locate the user with which you want to associate a group.

Multiple users can be selected. Then, click Associate Group.

In the dialog box that appears, set the parameters and click OK.

Change the user group
In the left-side navigation pane of the , choose . On the Contact Management tab, locate the user for which you want to change the group.

Multiple users can be selected. Then, click Change Group.

In the dialog box that appears, set the parameters and click OK.

Create Group and Associate with Group: Create a new group and directly associate the user with the new group.

Select the group to which you want to move the user.
