Set up a professional account on Instagram - Chat App Message Service

Set up a professional account on Instagram to connect it to a Facebook Page and send messages in the Chat App Message Service console.

Prerequisites

An Instagram channel is created. For more information, see Create an Instagram channel.
A Facebook account is created.

Procedure

Log on to your Instagram account. In the left-side navigation pane, choose More > Settings.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose For professionals > Account type and tools.
Click Switch to professional account.
Select Business and click Next.
Select a business category and click Done.
Specify whether to display contact information on your profile based on your business requirements.
Click Save.

Switch to a personal account

To switch from a professional account to a personal account: In the left-side navigation pane, choose More > Settings. Then, choose For professionals > Business tools and controls and click Switch to personal account.

Note

After you switch back to a personal account, you need to set up a new professional account.
