A wildcard SSL certificate covers a parent domain and all subdomains at the same level under one certificate. For example, a certificate for *.example.com protects www.example.com, api.example.com, and store.example.com.
Free SSL certificates are not available for wildcard domain names in the Alibaba Cloud CDN console. To enable HTTPS secure acceleration for a wildcard domain name, purchase a wildcard SSL certificate from SSL Certificates Service and then bind it in the CDN console.

Before you begin, ensure that you have:
An Alibaba Cloud account with access to SSL Certificates Service and the CDN console
Configure an SSL certificate for a wildcard domain name
In SSL Certificates Service, purchase an SSL certificate of the wildcard domain name type. Both Domain Validation (DV) and Organization Validation (OV) certificates of the professional version support wildcard domain names. In the Alibaba Cloud CDN console, configure the SSL certificate for your accelerated domain name and set Certificate Source to SSL Certificates Service. For details, see Configure an SSL certificate.
