Edge Routine supports only the pay-as-you-go billing method. This topic describes the billing rules for Edge Routine.
Edge Routine plans
Edge Routine provides a Free plan and a Paid plan. The Paid plan charges you based on the number of requests processed by the routines. Select a plan based on your business requirements:
Free plan: suitable for developers or personal business, such as personal blogs.
Paid plan: suitable for online business of enterprise users.
The Free plan is the default plan the first time you activate Edge Routine. You can change the plan.

Each account can initiate up to 100,000 requests per day.
The maximum QPS for each routine is 100.
Paid plan
There are no limits on the number of requests and concurrency.

Change your plan
Before you begin
When you change the Paid plan to the Free plan, the system checks the status of your account. You cannot switch if your account still has configuration items ffrom the Paid plan, such as exceeding the Free plan's routine limit.
The Free plan offers up to 100,000 requests per routine per day. If the limit is exceeded, an HTTP 503 status code is returned for requests until 00:00 on the next day.
Log on to the ESA console, and in the left-side navigation pane, choose .
In the Basic Information section, click Change.
In the dialog box that appears, select Free or Paid, confirm your change, and click OK.
NoteThe change takes effect immediately.
You can change the plan only once in 24 hours.
Billing cycle
Pay-by-day: The amount that is due on each day is deducted from your account balance at 00:00 on the next day.
Pricing
Edge Routine is a value-added service that is billed based on the number of calls. The price is USD 0.75 per 1,000,000 calls.
Billing example
You create two routines: Routine A and Routine B. On January 1, 2024, Routine A was called and executed 1 million times, and Routine B was called and executed 2 million times.
Edge Routine fee on January 1, 2024: USD 0.75/1,000,000 × 1,000,000 + USD 0.75/1,000,000 × 2,000,000 = USD 2.25.
The fee that was incurred on January 1, 2024 was deducted at 00:00:00 on January 2, 2024.
