Cloud Architect Design Tools:Customize the user interface

Last Updated:Jun 22, 2026

CADT allows you to customize the console interface to create a personalized view tailored to your workflow.

Button location: Go to Application > My Applications > Application Panorama. The button is in the upper-right corner of the page.

Note

Refresh the page after you save your changes for them to take effect.

Click the button to open the Custom Configuration panel, which lists configurable features as toggles.

  1. Tag search on the application home page (filters the application list by tag): When enabled, drop-down filters such as Tag 1, Tag 2, and Tag 3 appear below the application tabs. Select a tag value to filter the application list.

  2. Show Deleted Applications: When enabled, a Deleted Applications tab is added to the My Applications page.

  3. Open user guide when creating a blank application: When enabled, the user guide panel opens automatically with instructions for creating and configuring the application.

  4. Use secondary classification menu for product list: When enabled, the product list on the left lets you expand second-level subcategories. For example, you can expand Network & CDN > Global Traffic Manager to view sub-products such as Global Traffic Manager 3.0-Address and Global Traffic Manager 3.0-Address Pool.

  5. Set default color theme for connections based on attributes: When enabled, connections with required attributes use the Personalized Theme color (orange), while connections with configurable attributes and all other connections use the Official Theme Color (blue).

  6. Use default color-coding for product icons

    • Off

All product icons are orange, with no color distinction by category. For example, products in the resource pack and elastic compute categories all have orange icons.

    • On

Icons are color-coded by product category. For example, Network & CDN uses blue, storage service uses orange, video service uses red, and security uses green.

  • Ignore local cache for create, delete, and other operations

    1. When disabled (caching is active), the system automatically caches your actions on the canvas. You can use the Undo and Redo buttons in the editor toolbar to reverse or restore changes.

  • Show resource filter menu on right-click in browse mode: In browse mode, the canvas displays the complete architecture diagram with resource nodes and connections. Right-click a resource to open a filter menu that filters canvas content by type.

  • Show prompt to clean up abnormal nodes before deployment: If an abnormal node is detected during deployment, the Clean Up Abnormal State Nodes dialog box appears and prompts you to change the node status to new state. You can select Open Clean Up Abnormal State Nodes or Ignore Cleanup and Continue Deployment.

  • Open solution in edit mode by default

    1. When enabled, solutions open in edit mode by default. The Edit button in the upper-right corner is active, and the canvas is ready for editing immediately.

  • Retain private IP when copying ECS nodes

    Note

Copying an ECS node does not retain its private IP because private IP addresses must be unique within the same vSwitch.
