The intelligent monitoring dashboard in Cloud Architect Design Tools (CADT) lets you build real-time, no-code visual dashboards to monitor production, equipment, and safety metrics from connected IoT (Internet of Things) devices.
The intelligent monitoring dashboard is a large-screen visualization feature in CADT. Connect your IoT device data, arrange panels, and display live metrics — no coding required. Operations teams can monitor equipment status, track production KPIs, and respond to anomalies from a single screen.
Use cases
Production monitoring: Display real-time throughput, equipment uptime, and process efficiency metrics across a factory floor or production line.
Safety monitoring: Track environmental sensors, alarm states, and safety thresholds for facilities that require continuous compliance oversight.
Equipment status overview: Aggregate device health signals from multiple assets into a unified dashboard so operators can identify failures without switching between systems.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
An active Alibaba Cloud account with CADT access enabled
IoT devices connected and reporting data to Alibaba Cloud IoT Platform or a compatible data source
Permissions to create and publish dashboards in CADT
How it works
Create a dashboard in CADT and give it a descriptive name.
Add panels to the dashboard canvas. Each panel displays one metric or visualization type (line chart, gauge, table, or alert indicator).
Bind each panel to a data source — an IoT device property, a time-series dataset, or a custom API endpoint.
Configure refresh intervals so the dashboard updates at a frequency appropriate for your monitoring scenario.
Publish the dashboard and share the URL with the operators or managers who need to view it.
After publishing, the dashboard runs in full-screen mode and refreshes automatically at the configured interval.
Get started
To create your first intelligent monitoring dashboard:
Log in to the CADT console.
In the left navigation pane, choose Monitoring Dashboard.
On the Monitoring Dashboard page, click Create Dashboard.
Enter a name for the dashboard, then click OK.
In the dashboard editor, click Add Panel and select a visualization type.
In the panel settings, select a data source and configure the display options.
Repeat steps 5–6 until all required metrics are displayed.
Click Publish to make the dashboard available to your team.
