This topic describes how to migrate a primary or secondary instance in an ApsaraDB MyBase dedicated cluster from a host to another host in the same zone.

Prerequisites

An ApsaraDB MyBase for SQL Server instance is created. For more information, see Create an ApsaraDB MyBase for SQL Server instance.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB MyBase console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where you want to create a dedicated cluster.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances > SQL Server.
  4. Find the instance that you want to migrate, and choose More > Migrate in the Actions column.

  5. Configure the following parameters and click OK.

    Parameter Description
    Destination Host Select the host to which you want to migrate the instance.
    Note You can migrate a primary instance or a secondary instance based on your business requirements. If you need to migrate only a primary instance, you must configure the parameters that are required to migrate the primary instance.
    Migration Time
    • Immediate
    • Maintenance Window 02:00-06:00
    • Specified Time: You can specify a date and time to migrate the instance.
    Notice
    • If you migrate an instance, the instance remains disconnected for about 30 seconds.
    • Cross-zone instance migration is not supported.
