This topic describes how to delete a database from an ApsaraDB MyBase for SQL Server instance.

Delete a database in the console

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB MyBase console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where you want to create a dedicated cluster.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances > SQL Server.
  4. Find the instance that you want to release and click Details in the Actions column.
  5. Find the instance that you want to release, and click Details in the Actions column.
  6. In the left-side navigation pane, click Databases.
  7. Find the database that you want to delete, and click Delete in the Actions column.
  8. In the message that appears, click OK.

Execute an SQL statement to delete a database

  1. Use a client to connect to the ApsaraDB MyBase for SQL Server instance for which the database to be deleted is created. For more information, see Log on to an instance.
  2. Execute one of the following SQL statements to delete the database:
    • Execute a DROP statement.
      drop database <database name>;
    • Call a stored procedure.
      EXEC sp_rds_drop_database 'database name'
