ApsaraDB for MyBase:Create a Bastionhost instance

Purchase and configure a Bastionhost instance to establish secure, auditable access to your ApsaraDB for MyBase hosts. Bastionhost provides access control, operation audit, and security authentication—capabilities commonly required by financial and insurance organizations with strict compliance mandates. Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • An ApsaraDB for MyBase dedicated cluster running MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL

Create a bastion host

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

  2. In the upper-left corner, select a region.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Dedicated Clusters.

  4. Find the dedicated cluster and click Details in the Actions column.

  5. In the left-side navigation pane, click Bastion Hosts.

  6. On the Bastion Hosts page, click Purchase Bastion Host.

  7. On the Bastionhost page, configure the following parameters.

    Parameter Description

    Region and zone

    Select the region and zone where the Bastionhost instance resides.

    Region and zone The region and zone where the bastion host is deployed.
    Version The edition of the bastion host.
    Plan The number of assets (hosts) the bastion host can manage. Specify the number of assets based on your business requirements.
    Quantity The number of bastion host instances to purchase.
    Duration The subscription period. Enable Auto-renewal to prevent the instance from being released when the subscription expires. The system renews the bastion host based on the specified subscription duration. For example, if you specify a subscription duration of three months, the system renews the bastion host once every three months.

    Optional parameters

    Parameter Description
    Extra bandwidth Additional bandwidth for the bastion host.
    Extended storage plans Additional storage capacity for the bastion host.
    Resource group The resource group to which the bastion host belongs. Use resource groups to organize resources across multiple accounts and projects. To create a resource group, see Create a resource group.

  8. Click Buy Now.

  9. On the Confirm Order page, read and accept the Terms of Service, then complete the payment.
