API Gateway:View gateway monitoring data

Cloud-native API Gateway provides business and resource monitoring data for your gateways.

Prerequisites

View gateway monitoring analytics

  1. Log on to the API Gateway console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Cloud-native API Gateway > Instance. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. On the Instances page, click the name of the target gateway instance.

  4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Observability Analysis > Business Monitoring.

  5. The Business Monitoring page displays the following information:

    • Global Dashboard: PV, UV, Gateway Inbound Traffic, Gateway Outbound Traffic, Method Distribution, Gateway Status Code Distribution, Backend Service Status Code Distribution, Queries Per Second (QPS), Request Success Rate, Request Response Time (RT) (ms), and Request Distribution.

    • Grayscale Comparison Dashboard: In a phased release scenario, this dashboard compares the production service with the grayscale service based on metrics such as QPS, Request Success Rate, Request RT (ms), and Request Distribution.

    Note
    • By default, data from the last hour is displayed. You can set a time range in the upper-left corner to filter the data.

    • You can enable Auto-refresh in the upper-right corner to automatically refresh the monitoring data.

    • Cloud-native API Gateway uses Simple Log Service for business monitoring. Enabling log delivery for the gateway may incur fees. For more information about the billing of Simple Log Service, see Billing overview.

View gateway resource monitoring

  1. Log on to the API Gateway console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Cloud-native API Gateway > Instance. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. On the Instances page, click the name of the target gateway instance.

  4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Observability Analysis > Resource Monitoring.

    1. The Resource Monitoring page displays Gateway CPU Utilization (%), Memory Payload (B), Gateway Memory Usage (%), Network Inbound I/O Payload (B/s), Network Outbound I/O Payload (B/s), Disk Read Payload (B/s), and Disk Write Payload (B/s).

      Note
      • By default, data from the last hour is displayed. You can set a time range in the upper-left corner to filter the data.

      • You can enable Auto-refresh in the upper-right corner to automatically refresh the monitoring data.

      • You can view the business monitoring dashboard for free. To monitor the enterprise dashboard or export monitoring data, you must activate Hybrid Cloud Monitoring. Hybrid Cloud Monitoring is billed based on your usage. For more information about the billing method of Cloud Monitor, see Billing overview.

  5. (Optional) To configure alerts, you can click the image icon in the upper-right corner of the dashboard, or click Alerting > Create Alert Rule in the navigation pane on the left of the Cloud-native API Gateway console. For more information, see Create an alert rule.
