What's new
You can restore instance data to a different zone or edition. This lets you adapt instances to business growth and take advantage of new zones and services released by Alibaba Cloud. For more information, see Restore data.
Prerequisites
Before initiating a cross-zone or cross-edition restoration, confirm that:
Both instances are in elastic storage mode.
Both instances are in the same region. Cross-region restoration is not supported.
The destination instance has enough storage capacity. Its storage capacity must be greater than or equal to that of the source instance.
Restoration time
Restoration time depends on the volume of data in the source instance. Typical restorations complete within a few hours.
