Feature overview
As your business grows and Alibaba Cloud introduces more services and zones, you may need to change the zone or instance series of your existing AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL instances. AnalyticDB for PostgreSQL now lets you change the zone and instance series when you restore an instance from a backup. For details, see data restoration.
Usage notes
- Both the source instance and the new instance must be in Elastic Storage Mode.
- The source instance and the new instance must be in the same region.
- The storage capacity of the new instance must be greater than or equal to that of the source instance.
- The restoration time depends on the data volume of the source instance. The process typically takes several hours.
