You can renew a subscription cluster to extend its subscription period. Fees generated after renewal are charged in the same manner as a new cluster. Pay-as-you-go clusters are billed based on their actual resource usage and do not expire. You do not need to renew pay-as-you-go clusters, but you must make sure that your account balance is sufficient. AnalyticDB for MySQL clusters can be manually or automatically renewed. This topic describes how to renew an AnalyticDB for MySQL subscription cluster.

Precautions

  • To prevent service interruptions caused when a subscription cluster expires and is not renewed within the specified period of time, we recommend that you enable auto-renewal.
  • If you manually renew a subscription cluster before auto-renewal fees are automatically deducted, the cluster is automatically renewed before expiration of the manual renewal duration.
  • After you enable auto-renewal for a cluster, the configuration takes effect the next day. If the cluster expires the next day, you must manually renew it to prevent service interruptions.
  • Expired subscription clusters cannot have auto-renewal enabled on the Renewal page of the Billing Management console
  • If you did not enable auto-renewal for a subscription cluster, we recommend that you manually renew it before it expires. If the cluster is not renewed in a timely manner, service interruptions or data loss may occur after the cluster expires.
  • If a subscription cluster contains billable items that use the pay-as-you-go billing method, you must make sure that your account balance is sufficient.
