This topic describes the billable items and billing rules of AnalyticDB for MySQL V3.0 in Elastic mode for Cluster Edition and Reserved mode for Cluster Edition.
Elastic mode for Cluster Edition

Category | Billable item | Billing rule | Billing method | Example |
---|---|---|---|---|
Basic resource | Basic computing resource | Basic computing resources are billed based on the specifications and usage duration.
|
|
Example 1: Assume that you have a pay-as-you-go elastic cluster in the Singapore (Singapore) region. The specifications of the basic computing resources are 16 cores and 64 GB. The cluster is used for 100 hours. The fees for the basic computing resources are calculated based on the following formula: USD 0.684 per hour × 100 hours = USD 68.4. Example 2: Assume that you have a subscription elastic cluster in the Singapore (Singapore) region. The specifications of the basic computing resources are 64 cores and 256 GB. The subscription period is three months. The fees for the basic computing resources are calculated based on the following formula: USD 622.748 per node-hour × (64 cores and 256 GB/16 cores and 64 GB) nodes × 3 months = USD 7,472.976. |
Data storage |
|
Fees for the storage space = Storage fees of hot data + Storage fees of cold data
|
Pay-as-you-go |
Assume that you have a subscription elastic cluster in the Singapore (Singapore) region. The volume of hot data is 100 GB and the volume of cold data is 260 GB. The data is stored for 24 hours. The fees for the storage space are calculated based on the following formula: USD 0.000622 per GB-hour × 100 GB × 24 hours + USD 0.000028 per GB-hour × 260 GB × 24 hours = USD 1.66752. |
Scale-up | Elastic I/O unit (EIU) (optional) | Fees for scale-up are calculated based on the number of EIUs and the duration.
Fees for EIUs = Unit price per EIU × Number of EIUs × Usage duration Note
|
|
Assume that you have a subscription elastic cluster in the Singapore (Singapore) region. You purchase three EIUs for 3 months. The fees for the EIUs are calculated based on the following formula: USD 1,154.748 per EIU-month × 3 EIUs × 3 months = USD 10,392.732. |
Time-specific scaling (optional) | Elastic computing resource (optional) | Elastic computing resources are computing resources that are used for elastic scaling
of resources. Fees for elastic computing resources are calculated based on their specifications
and usage duration.
Fees for elastic computing resources = Unit price per compute node × Number of compute nodes × Usage duration Note
|
Pay-as-you-go |
Assume that you have a subscription elastic cluster in the Singapore (Singapore) region. You configure an elastic plan to be executed at 00:00 to 02:00 every Friday from September 1, 2021 to September 14, 2021. The elastic plan is executed twice during this period, 2 hours each time. The new specifications are 32 cores and 128 GB. The fees for the elastic computing resources are calculated based on the following formula: USD 1.11205 per node-hour × (32 cores and 128 GB/16 cores and 64 GB) nodes × 2 hours × 2 times = USD 8.8964. |
Reserved mode for Cluster Edition

- The unit prices in the bills displayed in the Billing Management console are used.
- In the examples in the following table, prices for the Singapore (Singapore) region in December 2021 are used. In actual scenarios, the prices listed in the AnalyticDB for MySQL console prevail.
Billable item | Billing rule | Billing method | Example |
---|---|---|---|
Compute node | Compute nodes are billed based on the instance type, number of node groups, and usage
duration.
Fees for compute nodes = Unit price per node group × Number of node groups × Usage duration |
|
Assume that you have a subscription reserved cluster in the Singapore (Singapore) region. The instance type of the cluster is C8. The cluster uses three node groups and the subscription duration is six months. The fees for the compute nodes are calculated based on the following formula: USD 900 per node group-month × 3 node groups × 6 months = USD 16,200. |
Storage space | The storage space is billed based on the instance type, number of node groups, storage
size, and usage duration.
Fees for the storage space = Unit price × Storage size × Number of node groups × Usage duration |
|
Assume that you have a subscription reserved cluster in the Singapore (Singapore) region. The instance type of the cluster is C8. The cluster uses three node groups and 100 GB of storage. The subscription duration is six months. The fees for the storage space are calculated based on the following formula: USD 0.6 per GB node group-month × 100 GB × 3 node groups × 6 months = USD 1,080. |
Examples
- Scenario 1
Assume that you have a subscription cluster in elastic mode for Cluster Edition in the China (Hong Kong) region. The cluster uses four compute nodes that provide computing resources of 64 cores and 256 GB of memory. The subscription period is six months.
The subscription fees are calculated based on the following formula: USD 678.3 per node-month × 4 compute nodes × 6 months = USD 16,279.2.
- Scenario 2
Assume that you have a pay-as-you-go cluster in elastic mode for Cluster Edition in the Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) region. The cluster uses two compute nodes that provide computing resources of 32 cores and 128 GB of memory. The hot data requires a storage space of 1,000 GB per hour and the cold data requires a storage space of 3,000 GB per hour. The cluster is used for 10 days.
The pay-as-you-go fees are calculated based on the following formula: (USD 1.2326 per node-hour × 2 compute nodes + USD 0.000892 per GB-hour × 1,000 GB + USD 0.000042 per GB-hour × 3,000 GB) × 24 hours × 10 days = USD 836.
- Scenario 3
Assume that you have a subscription cluster in elastic mode for Cluster Edition in the US (Silicon Valley) region. The cluster uses six compute nodes that provide computing resources of 96 cores and 384 GB of memory. The subscription period is three months. In addition, you need six compute nodes that provide computing resources of 96 cores and 384 GB of memory on a pay-as-you-go basis. The elastic compute nodes are used for 100 hours.
- The subscription fees are calculated based on the following formula: USD 488.012 per node-month × 6 compute nodes × 3 months = USD 8,784.216.
- The pay-as-you-go fees are calculated based on the following formula: USD 1.307175 per node-hour × 6 compute nodes × 100 hours = USD 784.305.
The total amount is calculated based on the following formula: USD 8,784.216 + USD 784.305 = USD 9,568.5.
