Alibaba Mail:The Error Code 0x800CCC78 Prompted When Sending Emails in Outlook

Problem Description

Outlook client can receive mail, but cannot send mail. The error code 0x800CCC78 shows when sending emails.

1. The account or password is incorrect.

This message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. Sender's email address is "a***@example.net" Subject 'sfdsdf', Account: 'XXX', Server: 'XXX', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 Authentication required', Port: 25, Security (SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78 

2. The account is blocked.

541 This account isn't allowed to send email

Solution

Solution for problem 1:

1. Open the Outlook software and click File > Account Settings.

2. Select the account that you want to view and click More Settings.

3. Click Outgoing Server, select Use same settings as my incoming mail server, and then click OK.

Solution for problem 2:
