This topic describes how to delete a multi-account trail in the ActionTrail console. After you delete a multi-account trail, the trail no longer collects events from the members in your resource directory.

Prerequisites

You cannot directly delete a single-account trail for which the advanced event query feature is enabled. Before you delete such a trail, make sure that the switch in the Advanced Query column is turned off.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ActionTrail console by using the delegated administrator account or the management account of your resource directory.
    Note
    • Members in the resource directory can view the created multi-account trail but are not authorized to delete it.
    • For more information about how to specify a delegated administrator account, see Manage a delegated administrator account.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Trails.
  3. On the Trails page, find the multi-account trail that you want to delete and click the trail name.
  4. On the page that appears, click Delete.
  5. In the Delete Trail message, click Confirm.
    Notice The events that have been delivered to the specified Log Service Logstore or Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket are not automatically deleted. For information about how to delete these events, see Delete a Logstore or Delete a bucket.
