This topic explains how to change the or logon email for your Alibaba Cloud account.
RAM users and SSO users cannot change their or logon mailbox. Make sure you are logged on to your Alibaba Cloud account to make these changes.
Use cases
You might need to change your logon email for the following reasons:
Strengthen security: The original email is compromised or no longer meets corporate security standards.
Organization changes: An employee leaves the company or changes roles, which requires transferring account control to a new owner.
Standardize account management: Your company wants to consolidate all cloud account logons under a standard corporate domain.
Changing your logon email only modifies the email you use to log on. This does not change the account ID (UID). All account resources, configurations, access controls (such as RAM users and permissions), and API access keys are bound to the UID and therefore remain unchanged.
Change your logon email
Log on to your Alibaba Cloud account. In the upper-right corner, click your Profile Picture > Account Center. On the Security Settings page in the Account Center, click Change next to your logon email address.

You are prompted to verify your identity. You can choose to verify your identity using your secure phone or original logon email.
After you verify your identity, enter the new logon email. Get a verification code, enter the code, and click OK to complete the change.
A success message appears. You will receive a notification at both your old and new email addresses confirming the change.
Security considerations
Changing your logon email is a high-risk operation that directly affects account ownership. Keep the following in mind:
Ensure ownership of the new email address: Confirm that you have full control over the new email address. Do not use an email address that belongs to someone else or is shared.
Understand the impact of the change: After the change, you can no longer use the original email to log on. You will receive all future security notifications, such as for logons and password resets, at the new email address. Keep your new email address secure.

This message means that the new email address is already registered with another account. You can either:
