This topic describes how to modify an alert. After you create an alert, you can modify the alert chart and then update the alert. To modify an alert associated with a query statement, you can directly modify the query statement.

Limits

  • You can only modify query statements with which alerts are associated. You cannot modify such query statements to query and analysis statements, which are in the format of query statement | analysis statement.

For example, after you associate the request_method: GET query statement with an alert, you can modify the query statement to error, but cannot modify it to error| select count(1) as c.

  • For information about how to modify alerts of an earlier version, see Upgrade an alert.

  • To modify a new alert, you can click Modify Settings on the Alert Overview page, or choose Alerts > Modify on the associated dashboard.
