This topic describes how to manage an alert. After you create an alert, you can manage the alert.

Background information

To manage an alert, you can disable, enable, modify, or delete the alert, and view its details such as the update time.

View the details of an alert

  1. Log on to the Log Service console, and then click the target project name.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click the Alerts icon.
  3. In the alert list, click the name of the alert.
    On the Alert Overview page that appears, you can view the details of the alert, such as the associated dashboard, creation time, and last update time.Alert overview

Disable and enable an alert

After you create an alert, you can disable or enable the alert. If you disable an alert, Log Service will no longer check alerts or send alert notifications.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, click the Alerts icon.
  2. In the alert list, click the name of the alert.
    On the Alert Overview page that appears, click Enable or Close in the Alert Status field.

Disable and enable alert notifications

You can disable notifications of enabled alerts. After you disable notifications of an enabled alert, alert notification will no longer be sent even if the trigger conditions are met.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, click the Alerts icon.
  2. In the alert list, click the name of the alert.
    On the Alert Overview page that appears, click Modify in the Notification Status field.
  3. Set the time range for which notifications are disabled, and then click Confirm.
    After you disable alert notifications, you can view the time at which alert notifications are resumed in the Notification Status field. You can click Modify in the Notification Status field to manually resume alert notifications.
    Note Alert notifications can be suspended for up to 30 days.

Delete an alert

You cannot recover a deleted alert. Exercise caution when you perform this operation.

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, click the Alerts icon.
  2. In the alert list, click the name of the alert.
  3. On the Alert Overview page that appears, click Delete Alert.
  4. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
