This topic describes how to manage member tags. Member tags are used to set dataset row-level permissions. For more information about how to set row-level permissions, see Configure row-level permissions (old version).

Add a tag

You can click Import Members on the Organization page to add tags. The following figure shows an example.In the Import Organization Members dialog box, click Download Template to download the member template. The following figure shows the member information for this example.
Note For members that do not require row-level permissions, you can set their tags to $ALL_MEMBERS$.

Manage tags

After a tag is added, you can click Manage Tags on the Organization page to manage the tag, as shown in the following figure. To add a new tag, you can also click the Add Label icon in the upper-right corner of the Manage Member Tags dialog box.

Edit tags

  1. Select a member for which you want to set row-level permissions, and click the Edit Member Tags icon in the Actions column corresponding to that member.
  2. In the Edit Member Tags dialog box, enter tag values, and click OK, as shown in the following figure.
