This topic describes how to reset the password of an account on your ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server instance. If the password is lost, you can reset the password in the ApsaraDB for RDS console.
Limits of ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server
If Enforce password expiration and Enforce password policy are configured for your RDS instance, you cannot change the password in the ApsaraDB RDS console. In this case, you can execute the following SQL statements to change the password after you connect to the RDS instance:
USE Master
GO
ALTER LOGIN UserName WITH PASSWORD = 'password'
GO
ALTER LOGIN UserName WITH
CHECK_POLICY = OFF,
CHECK_EXPIRATION = OFF;
