After you enable the Log Service for Web Application Firewall (WAF) feature, you are allocated log storage space based on the log storage capacity that you specified. You can view your log storage usage on the Log Service page in the WAF console. This topic describes how to manage log storage space.

Prerequisites

The Log Service for WAF feature is enabled. For more information, see Enable Log Service for WAF.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the WAF console. In the top navigation bar, select the resource group and the region to which your WAF instance belongs. The region can be Chinese Mainland or Outside Chinese Mainland.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Security Operations > Log Service.
  3. Manage your log storage space.
    • View log storage usage: In the upper corner of the Log Service page, view your log storage usage.
Note The statistics on the Log Service page are delayed for two hours. We recommend that you expand your log storage capacity before it is exhausted.
    • Upgrade log storage capacity: In the upper-right corner of the Log Service page, click Upgrade Storage. On the page that appears, select a larger storage capacity and pay for the order. For more information, see Overview of the Log Service for WAF feature.
Note If the log storage capacity is exhausted, WAF logs will no longer be written into the dedicated Logstore. We recommend that you expand the log storage capacity of your WAF instance in a timely manner.
    • Clear your log storage space: Click Clear in the upper-right corner of the Log Service page. In the message that appears, click OK to delete all log data.

After Log Service for WAF is activated, you can clear your log storage space for a total of four times.

Warning You cannot restore the log data that is cleared. Proceed with caution.
