This topic describes the directional light layer chart styles and the meaning of each configuration items.
Chart Style
The directional light layer is a subcomponent of the 3D Earth. It supports independent style configurations, including the color, intensity, and position of parallel light. It is suitable for simulating the effect of parallel light shining on the Earth sphere.
Settings Panel
- Search for Configurations: In the right-side panel of Canvas Editor, click the Settings tab, and click Search for Configurations in the upper-right corner. Enter the required configuration item in the search box, and click the search icon to quickly locate the configuration item. Fuzzy match is supported. For more information, see Search for asset configurations.
Light Intensity: the brightness of the parallel light. Valid values: 0 to 100.
Color: The light color of the directional light. For more information, see color picker instructions.
Position X, Position Y, and Position Z: the directional light layer coordinates. Positions X, Y, and Z indicate the X, Y, and Z axes in the right-handed coordinate system.
Data Panel
This component does not support data configuration.
Interaction Panel
This widget does not support interaction events.
Configure interactions in Blueprint Editor
In Canvas Editor, click the icon on the right side of the directional light layer in the 3D Earth widget list.
Click the icon in the upper-left corner.
In Blueprint Editor, click directional light layer in the Added Nodes pane.
Event: The earth layer does not support events.
