File gateways support the reverse synchronization feature. Reverse synchronization allows you to synchronize metadata of objects in an Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket to the mapped file gateway. This way, you can monitor changes to objects in the bucket directly from the file gateway.
Scenarios
You can use the reverse synchronization feature to implement data sharing across multiple gateways that are mapped to the same OSS bucket.
You can use the reverse synchronization feature to restore data from the mapped OSS bucket to the file gateway.
NoteThe default time interval of reverse synchronization is 900 seconds. Reverse synchronization uses a data scan mechanism to detect changes to objects in OSS buckets. A short reverse synchronization interval may affect your business. We recommend that you set a reverse synchronization interval based on your business requirements.
