Quick BI allows you to grant row-level permissions to users or user groups. You can also grant row-level permissions to users who have specified tags.

Background information

Only the Quick BI Pro edition and the Quick BI Enterprise Standard edition support the row-level access control feature.

Authorize users or user groups

If you enable the row-level access control feature for some items in some fields, only users who have the access permissions on the specified items can access the charts that are generated based on the rows that contain values of the specified items.

If your organization has a small number of members, you can use the user or user group authorization method.

  1. In the top navigation bar, click Workspace. On the page that appears, click Datasets in the left-side navigation pane.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click the Drop-down icon icon in the workspace field and select a workspace from the drop-down list.

Authorize users based on tags

Tag-based authorization allows you to authorize the users who have specified tags at a time. If your organization has a large number of members, tag-based authorization can help you reduce permission management workloads.

The following example shows how to grant permissions to users that have the area tag to view only the data of truck and air in the shipping_type field in the company_sales_record dataset.

    1. In the top navigation bar, click the Settings icon.
