Your DBS subscription may expire in the following cases:
- Your DBS subscription is due to expire, and you have not renewed the subscription in a timely manner.
When your DBS instance expires, it automatically stops.
If your DBS subscription has expired but you renew your subscription within seven days, the instance automatically starts and you may continue to use the services.
If your DBS subscription has expired and you fail to renew your subscription within seven days, the DBS instance will be released, and the DBS metadata corresponding to the DBS instance will be cleared. You cannot restore the backup data of the instance by purchasing a new instance.
The release of a DBS instance does not affect the backup data stored in OSS. The backup data is dumped and cleaned based on the previously configured lifecycle management rules. You only need to pay the storage fees by using the pay-as-you-go billing method or purchase storage plans based on your actual storage space.
The release of a DBS instance does not affect the source database.
