If an Anti-DDoS Pro or Anti-DDoS Premium instance suffers HTTP flood attacks and DDoS attacks at the same time, you must identify the attack types and perform operations as needed.

Application scope

Anti-DDoS Pro or Anti-DDoS Premium

Solution

Troubleshooting
  1. Identify the attack type based on the following characteristics:
    • HTTP flood attacks affect the number of website connections at Layer 7.
    • DDoS attacks affect Layer 4 traffic.
  2. Identify the attack types based on the attack information:
    • If only Layer 4 forwarding is configured, the attacks are DDoS attacks.

Log on to the Anti-DDoS Pro console and click Security Overview. On the page that appears, the Bandwidth section shows attack traffic fluctuations, and traffic scrubbing is triggered. However, the Connections section shows no connection fluctuations.

    • If only Layer 7 forwarding is configured, the attacks are HTTP flood attacks.

Log on to the Anti-DDoS Pro console and click Security Overview. On the page that appears, the Bandwidth section shows attack traffic fluctuations, and traffic scrubbing is triggered. The Connections section also shows connection fluctuations.
