2. Authorize VPC access for Function Compute

Last Updated: Jan 09, 2020

If you have activated Function Compute, update the service to the latest edition, and configure the VPC for the service. For more information about updating service, see Basic operations.

The Function Compute service and the resource that you created in previous step must work in the same region. If your Function Compute service is in the China East 1 (Hangzhou), China East 2 (Shanghai), China North 2 (Beijing), and China South 1 (Shenzhen) and the VPC feature is disabled, you can open a ticket to contact Alibaba Cloud for migration.

To activate this service and configure the VPC for this service, follow these steps:

  1. Log on to the Function Compute console, and create the service. For more information about creating the service, see Basic operations.

  2. In the VPC Configuration field, select the VPC, VSwitch, and security group that you created in the previous steps.

  3. Select Create new role from the Role Operation drop-down list, click Authorize to go to the Role Templates page, and then click Confirm Authorization Policy.

In this operation, you assign Elastic Network Interface (ENI) permissions to Function Compute. For more information about the permissions that Function Compute requires to access resources in the VPC, see VPC access.
