:How do I handle the issue of slow access to services protected by an Anti-DDoS Pro or Anti-DDoS Premium instance?

Last Updated:Jun 10, 2022

Issue

When you access services protected by an Anti-DDoS Pro or Anti-DDoS Premium instance, it takes 8 seconds. By contrast, it takes 1 second to access services not protected an Anti-DDoS Pro or Anti-DDoS Premium instance.

Cause

Business programs need to use 843 and 8000 ports. 8000 ports are configured with port forwarding rules, but 843 ports are not configured with forwarding rules, resulting in slow connections.

Create Solution

  1. If you use Google Chrome to access services, you can open its Chrome DevTools to locate the cause. After 7 to 10 seconds, other resources of the services are loaded.
  2. Perform packet capture analysis based on Anti-DDoS Pro and Anti-DDoS Pro IP addresses. For more information, see How to capture packets when a network exception occurs. It is found that the service has been trying to connect to 8000 port before connecting to 843 port, and the time consumed is about 8 seconds.

  3. Log on to the Anti-DDoS Pro console. On the Port Access page, configure forwarding rules for 843 ports. For more information, see Add rules for ports. After you configure forwarding for 843 ports, service access is restored to normal.
