This topic describes how to change the parameter values of clusters in the PolarDB
console.
Background information
You can change the parameter values of clusters in the PolarDB console. For more information about the parameters, see Server System Variables.
Procedure
- Log on PolarDB console.
- On the top of the page, select the region where the target cluster is located.
- Find the target cluster and click the cluster ID to go to the Overview page.
- In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
- Find the parameter for which you want to change the value, and click the
icon in the Current Value column. In the dialog box that appears, enter the new value and click OK.
Note
- You must enter the parameter values that are included in the right-side Value Range column. Otherwise, an error message appears when you Apply Changes.
- You can move your pointer over the
icon of a parameter to view the parameter details.
- In the left-right corner, click Apply Changes. In the Save Changes panel, click OK.

Note
- After you click Apply Changes for a parameter for which the value of Force Restart is Yes, you must restart all the nodes in the cluster to apply the changes. We recommend
that you make appropriate service arrangements before you restart the nodes. Use caution
if you need to restart the nodes.
- If your cluster version is PolarDB for MySQL 8.0, you can specify the innodb_fast_startup parameter as ON to accelerate the restart process. For more information about how to change parameter
values, see Specify cluster parameters.
