If you receive the error message "IP does not belong to you" when you associate an IP address with your protection package, troubleshoot the issue as follows.
The following error message appears when you associate an IP address with your protection package: IP does not belong to you.
Perform the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check and make sure that you have entered the correct IP address.
- Check and make sure that the region of the cloud service using the IP address is the same as that of the protection package.
- If you are using a shared protection package, check and make sure that the type of the cloud service that you want to protect is the same as the one you have configured for your protection package.
- If you want to protect the IP address of a WAF instance, check and make sure that
the region of the WAF instance is supported by your anti-DDoS protection package.
Note Currently, anti-DDoS protection packages only support protection for WAF instances located in the following regions: China (Hangzhou), China (Beijing), China (Shenzhen), and US West.
